Spending time with family in and about Dayton is easy to do. There are lots of family-friendly activities that seniors can enjoy. Whether you are looking for indoor or outdoor activities, exercise or relaxation, you can find something to do throughout the year. Here are a few activities in Dayton.

1. Historic Train Ride

The Lebanon Mason Monroe Railroad offers historic train rides in southwest Ohio. You board the train in Lebanon, just south of Dayton, and learn about local history during the one-hour round-trip ride. Seniors ride for $10.

3. Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park

You can easily spend hours visiting this aviation park which has several areas. It includes the Wright Cycle Company and the Wright-Dunbar Interpretive Center, where you can learn about the brothers' early lives. To learn more about how they invented the airplane, go to the Huffman Prairie Flying Field and Interpretive Center at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. You will want to return several times to take in this exciting history.

4. National Museum of the Air Force
